Each of the five playdowns will have the same 16-team, 3 games guaranteed draw. They will be adapted to each club as to the times of the games and the number of teams entered.

Rules for regional playdowns

We trust that all participants will respect the intent of these events. They are formulated primarily for recreational curlers. The objective is to promote participation of member clubs and their curlers and to enhance the overall development of curling throughout the Ottawa Valley and Québec. The rules will follow the CCA Rules of Curling for General Play.

1. All games are 8 ends
2. Ties will be broken with a full extra end played towards the home end
3. Only one "elite" player per team (an elite player is someone who has been to provincial men, women, juniors, seniors or grand slam within the last four years).
4. Teams must be members of the same club, and the club must be a member of the OVCA.
5. Men and women must play alternate positions on mixed teams.
6. The Open Colts teams can be any combination of women and/or men, in any position. All players must have five years or less of curling experience.
